Reflexology Practitioner

Elaine has been practicing reflexology for 16 years and currently practices as The Belmore Centre.  She holds membership to the association of Reflexologists, the Guild of Complementary Practitioners, and the International Federation of Reflexologists.

Elaine previously worked for the NHS as a nurse, midwife and health visitor for 40years.  She set up the Peterson School of Reflexology in response to numerous requests for courses at weekends as an alternative to evening courses.  She also set up a support group of the newly qualified Reflexologists and named it ‘Sole Talk’ which has since been adopted internationally by the IFR.

She has teaching qualifications in Health Visiting and Further Adult Education and as an assessor and external examiner .  These have led to her tutoring courses at Aylesbury College, Champneys Training College, West Herts College (Watford) and UK College, London, as well as her own training school.

In Addition, Elaine has trained in a wide variety of holistic Reflexology disciplines, these include;         - Reading the Feet – Advanced Reflexology – Precision Reflexology – Vertical Reflex Therapy – Pregnancy and Labour Reflexology – Hand Reflexology – Colour and Reflexology – Basics of Oriental Medicine Relating to Reflexology.

Other training undertaken by Elaine includes; Bach Flower Remedy training at Mount Vernon – Foundation Healing Course by the college of Healing, Running Park – Holistic Workshop, Dr Pietro Pizzo – EFT (emotional freedom technique), Passion for Health – Counselling, NHS – One plus One Training in Relationships, NHS – First Aid.

Elaine not only brings her skill of Reflexology to her clients but they benefit from her depth of knowledge and experience.  Elaine has been an active team member since 1992.  She has retired from running the basic Reflexology training courses but can provide more information on Reflexology, Advanced Reflexology Training and Introductory Fun Days and giving talks to groups as well as extra tutoring help with A&P and Reflexology.
