Microsuction is a modern, safe, and effective method for removing earwax using a gentle medical suction device. Unlike traditional methods (like ear syringing or irrigation), microsuction does not involve water, making it a preferred choice for people with ear infections, perforated eardrums, or previous ear surgeries. Our audiologists are all highly-trained and have a success rate of 99.8%.

Before the procedure, we recommend patients to use olive oil drops for at least five days. This is to soften the earwax so as to avoid any discomfort during the procedure. While we still see patients who haven’t used oil, please be aware that in rare instance, they may be asked to come for a second visit especially if the wax is too hard to remove in one session. In these cases, the second appointment is given a 40% discount.
