Foot Health Practitioner - Chiltern Foot Health Services
Qualifications: SBStJ, LCP, Dip Ed (Adv), FCollP, MCFHP, MAFHP
Ian has been in practice as a Foot Health Practitioner since 2005. A registered member of the British Association of Foot Health Professionals, he trained at and qualified through the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead.
Ian worked in various schools in New Zealand and England as a classroom teacher and in senior management roles. He has also worked for the British Heart Foundation and an NHS Ambulance Service. He has long experience with St John Ambulance and is a member of the European Resuscitation Council.
As a Foot Health Practitioner, he offers advice and treatment for many of the basic foot conditions, including nail trimming, corn and callus removal, fungal nails, verruca treatment and foot analysis in relation to diabetes. As well as the clinics here at the Belmore Centre, he has another weekly clinic in Berkhamsted and also offers home visits.
Custom-made “Footbalance” TM insoles are also made by Ian to correct fallen arches, over-pronation and resulting postural pain.
